Tonia – “Abba Mhen” (My Father) ||

Emerging Gospel music minister, Anthonia Splendid Atite popularly known as Tonia has released a brand new worship anthem titled “Abba Mhen” which means “My Father” in Esan language.

“This song came to my spirit on my way home from choir practice one lovely Saturday evening. Walking along the road by a popular market, my eyes gazed on the beautiful and fresh fruits arranged by some sellers, then the variety of these fruits became overwhelmingly attractive. The Almightiness of God’s unending craftsmanship began flooding my heart;

His design of all things
His care for them
His focused attention on them, to maintain and beautify them

These sprung up the truth in my heart that if He cares so much for them so they could give nurishment to man, then He really had me in mind from the beginning of creation. Hence this song of adoration to him…. chanting some roles that He has functioned and still functioning as Aba mhen (my father)”, Tonia said while commenting on the inspiration behind the song.

Tonia is a singer, songwriter, mother, wife and pastor. She is married to Pastor Felix Atite (Senior Pastor, His Majesty’s Light Pavilion, Benin city, Edo state, Nigeria). They are blessed with four kids (two boys and two girls).
She is also a graduate of the prestigious University of Benin, Benin city, Edo state, Nigeria.
