Suspect at large after multi-agency pursuit ends in Goose Creek

GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (WCBD) – Multiple law enforcement agencies were involved in a car chase that turned into a search for the suspect Wednesday night.

The pursuit began in around 9:00 p.m. when deputies with the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office tried to stop a car near Rivers Avenue and Hanahan Road. The driver sped off, and the North Charleston Police Department picked up the pursuit.

The chase ended near the Mitsubishi dealership on the 200 block of South Goose Creek Boulevard when the suspect fled on foot.

The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office, Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, North Charleston Police Department, and Goose Creek Police Department were all on scene.

As of 10:00 p.m., the suspect had not been located. The car involved in the pursuit was taken into custody.
