March 24 – Gabby Douglas

Olympic gymnast.  At the 2012 London Summer Olympics, now 25-year-old Douglas became the first woman of color to win the title of Individual All-Around Champion in artistic gymnastics. She’s also the first Black woman to earn gold in both the individual all around and team competitions at the Olympic games.
