Crash on I-526E near Clements Ferry Road causing major traffic backup

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Eastbound commuters on I-526 may see extended delays in traffic after a crash Wednesday morning.

The crash occurred around 7:34 a.m. on I-526 eastbound near mile marker 23.

This is just before the Clements Ferry Road exit.

The crash prompted a left-lane closure. SCDOT traffic cameras show traffic backed up for miles.

We have no word on any injuries as of now.
