DCSO arrests woman attempting to enter ARHS with gun

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Department (DCSO) arrested a woman following a gun incident that occurred last night at Ashley Ridge High School.

London Mechelle Taylor, 37, of Ladson, attempted to enter a game at Ashley Ridge High School with a gun. When she passed through the weapon detection unit, the alarm sounded and officials had to complete a secondary screening where they then located the firearm.

DCSO said Taylor was charged with Possession of a Firearm on School Property and Unlawful Carry of a Pistol.

Taylor had a bond hearing on Saturday where she was given a $15,000 PR bond.
