1 dead, 3 injured in collision on Hwy 52 near Bonneau

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal collision that occurred Saturday around 7 p.m. on Hwy 52 near Bonneau.

According to Corporal Tyler Tidwell, a 2007 Toyota Camry and a 1987 Chevrolet S-10 collided.

Troopers said the driver of the Chevrolet died at the scene and was the sole occupant. The three occupants in the Camry were injured and taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office has not yet released the name of the victim.
