Crews remove injured coyote outside Long Point Road Waffle House

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) – A coyote was injured Wednesday morning after being struck by a vehicle.

A volunteer firefighter with Awendaw-McClellanville Fire District helped officers from the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) with removing the injured coyote from the Waffle House on Long Point Road.

Details about the crash were not provided. Officials say SCDNR took possession of the animal.
