What’s happening Sunday at Southeastern Wildlife Exposition
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Sunday marks the final day at the Southeastern Wildlife Exposition!
The Southeastern Wildlife Exposition (SEWE) is an annual festival that promotes wildlife, art, and nature conservation throughout downtown Charleston.
Brittlebank Park is housing one of the most anticipated events of SEWE, the Dock Dog competition starting at 10 a.m. See dogs of all kinds and skill levels compete in various water jumping competitions. DockDogs finals will take place from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.
Also in Brittlebank Park, demonstrations are sure to catch attendees’ attention. The sheep and duck herding demos will take place throughout the day, one starting at 10:30 a.m. and another starting at 2 p.m. View dogs herd sheep and ducks through various obstacles with few verbal commands from their owners.

Orvis will be in Brittlebank Park hosting fly fishing casting lessons from 12:30 – 1 p.m. “Try your hand at angling or improve upon your skills with the fly fishing professionals on-site,” said event organizers.
Brittlebank Park will also host multiple retriever demonstrations throughout the day! Starting at 1 p.m. attendees can “Meet the Gundogs” and at 3 p.m. watch “7 Habits of the Highly Successful Gundog.”
Do you like birds? Some say the birds of prey flight demo is the most educational and entertaining show during SEWE. Head over to Marion Square from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. to watch flight demos from various birds of prey including falcons, eagles, owls, hawks and vultures. Learn the importance of their roles in our ecosystem!
The Purina Pro Plan performance team, a collection of the world’s most athletic dogs, will perform amazing flying disc routines at Marion Square from 1 – 2 p.m. and 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.
Throughout the day, Marion Square will host a variety of chef demos where South Carolina’s most talented chefs will team up with their favorite farmers and create delicious dishes. This is the station for food lovers!
