3 dead following two collisions in North Charleston

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Three people are dead in the span of three hours following two collisions that occurred Friday night.

According to NCPD’s spokesperson Harve Jacobs, officers responded to the first incident around 10 p.m. to a motorcycle accident on Rivers Ave. near Otranto Rd.

Officials say the motorcyclist left the roadway, hit a pole in the grass, a fence, the curb and then ejected. The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The next incident occurred around 1 a.m. when officers responded to a single-vehicle collision on Netherby Lane near Altamaha Dr.

Jacobs said the initial investigation showed the vehicle left the roadway and hit a tree. Two people were entrapped in the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

Both accidents remain under investigation by the North Charleston Police Department.
