Georgetown opens new Children’s Recovery Center

GEORGETOWN, S.C. (WCBD) – Georgetown is celebrating its new Children’s Recovery Center (CRC) which will act as a safe place for children who are victims of abuse.

Officials say CRC will be used to empower children and their families with the tools to recognize the signs of abuse and prevent it.

“Helping children grow from victims to strong healthy survivors,” said the Georgetown County Chamber of Commerce press release.

CRC will be free and open to the public.

Georgetown is celebrating its opening with a ribbon cutting on Thursday at 3 p.m.

The Children’s Recovery Center is located at 2305 Highmarket Street. The event is expected to have appetizers, beverages, giveaways and tours!
