Ladson man accused of sexual exploitation of a minor

LADSON, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities arrested a 28-year-old Ladson man accused of possessing multiple sexually explicit images of children.

Deputies with the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) arrested Nelsen Michael Caspersen on Wednesday on several charges connected to improper communication with a child.

According to arrest affidavits, detectives received tips that a user with a Verizon Cloud Account had distributed images of children in the nude which appeared to be self-produced.

Documents show the children ranged in age from 4-10.

Caspersen is charged with 10 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. He was given a $250,000 bond.
