Early morning Dorchester Road crash leaves 2 dead

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Troopers are investigating a deadly early morning crash on Dorchester Road.

Master Trooper Gary Miller with the South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP) said two people were killed after their vehicles collided on Dorchester Road near Middleton Boulevard around 2:30 a.m.

A 2001 Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling in the eastbound lanes when it crossed left of center and struck a westbound 2008 BMW sedan head-on.

Both drivers were killed, according to Trooper Miller.

The crash remains under investigation. The victims have not yet been identified.
