Willie’s Roadside Market cancels opening Saturday

Update: Boone Hall Plantation will not be opening Willie’s Roadside Market on Saturday. Officials say due to the hazardous conditions they plan to open next week Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) – Willie’s Roadside Market at Boone Hall Farms is set to open on Saturday.

Boone Hall Farms will debut its fresh-picked strawberries to kick off the 2024 season, while supplies last.

U-Pick strawberries will not be available on Saturday and Boone Hall Farms has not yet released a date when they will be.

In addition to Boone Hall Farms, food vendors including Mellow Coffee Truck, T&T Kettle Corn, Lowcountry Caviar with Boiled Peanuts and Lemonade and King of Pops will be featured at the outdoor market.

Bringing the kids? A balloon artist will entertain the kiddos (and adults) from 10 – 2 p.m.

Palmetto Tide Shrimp and Company and a variety of fresh produce vendors will also be featured.

Everything kicks off Saturday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. at 2434 N. Hwy 17 in Mount Pleasant. After the event, Willie’s Roadside Market will be open every Monday-Saturday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
