PHOTOS: Hay Tire suffers severe damage from Saturday storm

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – An automotive shop in West Ashley suffered damage Saturday morning amid severe storms that moved across the Charleston area.

“Apparently it was raining harder than usual, and the windows started to buckle and then it snapped over,” says Vice President of Hay Tire, Bill Sukula. “These windows on this side kinda just came apart, came out of the building.”

Images show damage to the ceiling and surrounding windows of the store.

“We had to close as soon that happened. We got all of the customer’s cars back to who was here. On Monday we’re not really sure what it means,” Sukula added when asked when Hay Tire is expected to reopen.
