Irish Pubs to visit in Charleston for St. Patrick’s Day
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – St. Patrick’s Day is Saturday and Charleston pubs will be flooded with people painting the town green.
To join the shenanigans of St. Patrick’s Day in Charleston, News 2 has created a list of Irish Pubs in the Charleston area that are celebrating this year:
Tommy Condon’s
Tommy Condon is celebrating 40 years in Charleston by throwing an ultimate St. Paddy’s celebration. Starting Thursday, March 14 through the 17th, Tommy Condon’s will feature live music all weekend with a special St. Patrick’s Day menu and drinks specials. Tommy Condon’s will open at 9 a.m. for St. Patrick’s Day weekend.
Tommy Condon’s is located at 160 Church Street.
Ireland’s Own/Jagerhaus Pub
Ireland’s Own says their pub gives visitors an authentic dining experience. Their pub features dark wooden tables and low stained glass lighting to make people feel like they have been transported to a pub in Ireland. The pub also features a family-friendly area with an arcade filled with games and golf course simulators.
Ireland’s Own St. Patrick’s Day event will be on Sunday, March 17th from 11 a.m. – 12 a.m.
Ireland’s Own is located at 3025 Ashley Town Center Drive.
Mac’s Place
Mac’s Place is a ‘not so traditional’ Irish Pub, they have arcade games and over 50 beers on tap. Mac’s Place will have its St. Patrick’s Day event on Sunday, March 17th from 11 a.m. – 2 a.m.
Mac’s Place is located at 215 East Bay Street.
Bumpa’s
The owners of Bumpa’s said they wanted to channel the timeless spirit of an Ireland pub into a 150+ year-old converted warehouse, that eventually became Bumpa’s.
“We hope you’ll feel the energy of the past in this place, even as we embrace what’s right and good in hospitality today,” said Bumpa’s website.
Bumpa’s St. Patrick’s Day event will be Sunday, March 17 from 10 a.m. – 12 a.m.
Bumpa’s is located at 5 Cumberland St.
Dunleavy’s Pub
Dunleavy’s is a family-owned and operated business on Sullivan’s Island that’s been open for the last 27 years. Annually, Dunleavy’s hosts a St. Patrick’s Day block party, this year it will be held on Saturday, March 16 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
