Man injured in early morning shooting near Georgetown
GEORGETOWN, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities in Georgetown County are investigating a Wednesday morning shooting that left a man injured.
Officials with the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) said the incident happened in the Parsons Garden area of Georgetown.
A 27-year-old man arrived at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital around 3:30 a.m. suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg.
The man claimed he was walking to a friend’s house when he was wounded, the sheriff’s office said.
Officials say the man has been uncooperative with investigators in providing any additional information.
