Deputies arrest suspect in stabbing, domestic disturbance

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) — A woman has been arrested in connection to a stabbing incident in Hemingway Thursday night.

Georgetown County deputies say they arrested Samantha Brown, 34, for allegedly stabbing a man in the chest at a residence on Cohen Drive.

Brown is charged with domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. Brown is also held on an aggravated assault charge from Horry County GCSO said.

The 32-year-old victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment, the sheriff’s office said. Brown was taken to the Georgetown County Detention Center.
