Spoleto announces ‘Pay What You Will’ ticket prices

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — Spoleto Festival USA has announced a new ticket pricing program to make the arts more accessible during the festival.

The ‘Pay What You Will’ program allows ticket buyers to set their own price, at a minimum of $7 to cover processing fees, to specific performances associated with the festival like dance, music, opera and theater performances between May 24 and June 9.

“We want to ensure that the arts remain a unifying force within our community,” says Mena Mark Hanna, General Director & CEO of Spoleto Festival USA. “By lowering the cost of entry, we hope to foster a sense of belonging and encourage curious new audience members to explore the world-class performances offered at Spoleto.”

Tickets are limited to two per person per performance, with payment options of $7, $15, $20, $25, and $30. Festival organizers say tickets will be released in batches throughout the festival and must be purchased at least 24 hours in advance.

Tickets can be redeemed at Will Call with I.D.; seating is up to the box office.
