Colleton County deputies make arrest in triple homicide investigation

COLLETON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – A 31-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a triple homicide in Colleton County.

Jameek Glover, 31, has been charged with three counts of accessory after the fact of murder.

Deputies with the Colleton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a Hayden Street home during the early hours of May 18 after receiving reports of three deceased victims. All three were shot to death in what deputies called a targeted attack.

The victims were identified as 49-year-old Harvel Breland, 43-year-old Alisha Gardner, and a two-year-old child.

Shortly after the killings, detectives released an image of a vehicle they believed to be involved in the incident. That vehicle was located and identified as being registered to Glover, according to the sheriff’s office.

Officials said video surveillance from the area and evidence indicate Glover picked up two co-defendants directly responsible for the murders and drove them away from the scene.

The shooting remains under investigation and detectives are still working to process evidence. “The Colleton County Sheriff’s Office is diligently working to bring the remaining co-defendants involved to justice,” the department said.

Glover was denied bond and remains booked at the Colleton County Detention Center.
