Part of Highway 176 closed after fuel leak, troopers say
BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – State troopers say a section of Highway 176 is closed due to a fuel leak from a collision.
The collision occurred near Alexander Circle and has left that portion of US 176 closed in both directions, according to Nick Pye, spokesperson for the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
No injuries were reported in the collision. The roadway will remain closed until crews clear the fuel from the area. Motorists are asked to avoid the area and use alternative routes.
Pye did not give an estimate for when the road will reopen.
