NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD)- The Charleston County Coroner’s Office has identified a man who was attacked and killed with a machete at a North Charleston construction site Wednesday.

David Carter, 57, died at the scene from sharp force injuries sustained during the altercation, Coroner Bobbi Jo O’Neal said.

Police said the victim and suspect were working together at a construction site on Trade Center Court and got into an argument shortly before 3 p.m., which led to the suspect pushing the victim to the ground and attacking him with a machete.
