Several injured in crash on Savannah Highway that involved 18-wheeler, police say

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Emergency crews are responding to a crash on Savannah Highway that resulted in several injuries.

Officials with the Charleston Police Department (CPD) said the two-vehicle crash happened near Main Road involving an 18-wheeler.

Police said several people were taken to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

One lane of travel is open; however, police say drivers should expect delays.
