Coroner ID’s man involved in early morning homicide: CPD

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The Charleston Police Department is investigating an early morning shooting that killed one person.

Officers say they responded to Nassau Street around 1:20 a.m. after hearing gunshots.

Once on the scene, they discovered an individual suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Officials say Charleston County EMS declared the individual deceased on the scene.

The Charleston County Coroner has identified Richard Warren, 33, of Adams Run as the deceased. Warren died on July 5, at 1:21 a.m.
