High temperatures and a risk for showers and thunderstorms on Saturday
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Expect a hot Saturday with high temperatures in the 90s.
Storm Team 2 Meteorologist Josh Marthers said tropical moisture would linger through the weekend, prompting a chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms across the area.
Highs will be near 90 to 95 on Saturday with mid to upper 90s on Sunday. Heat index values will be around 105 on Saturday and near 110 by Sunday afternoon.
Heading to the beach? The National Weather Service (NWS) in Charleston said a moderate risk for rip currents is in effect through Saturday evening for southeast South Carolina.
