North Charleston Public Works employee shot, crashed into tree off Dorchester Road
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities are investigating a shooting and crash that involved a North Charleston Public Works Employee on Thursday morning.
A spokesman for the North Charleston Police Department said the Public Works employee was the victim of a shooting while on the job and subsequently crashed into a tree.
It happened on Dorchester Road near Michaux Parkway.
The employee was taken to Trident Medical Center in critical condition.
The investigation is ongoing; however, officials said the shooting appears to be an isolated incident.
