Simone Biles Leads USA’s Gymnastic Team During Olympics Qualifiers
Simone Biles is that girl!
The superstar athlete is leading Team USA’s women’s gymnastics as they kicked off their qualifications today. Biles, along with her teammates, Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles, Sunisa Lee and Hezly Rivera are flipping their way back to the top after winning the silver medal in the 2021 Tokyo Games and now have their eyes on the gold.
With all eyes on Biles, she got off to a good start but sustained a leg injury while warming up for her floor exercise. The noticeable injury left Biles hurting as she left the arena floor momentarily but reemerged ready to compete again with a taped ankle.
The injury didn’t stop the superstar, though, as she took to the floor once again to land her signature Yurchenko double pike on the vault. This time, the beauty did not stumble but instead earned her team a huge lead. Way to go!
Simone. Biles.
She knows few equals.

Meanwhile, Biles’s hubby Jonathan Owens is cheering on his star wife and showing her support in the cutest way.
After earning permission from his coach to miss practice, the Chicago Bears safety was glued to the television to watch his wife’s Olympics performance. The NFL player took to his Instagram stories to show Biles love and support while sharing images from her performance and writing, “We locked in.”
Owens also shared various clips of his wife competing, including one of her on the beam. This time, he wrote, “Flawless” and “no words” as the post’s caption to share his support. Too cute!
Not only is Simone Biles one of the most decorated and celebrated athletes in the world, but she’s also one of the most loved! We’ll have our eyes on Biles throughout these games as she leads her team to victory!
