Mount Pleasant hospital working to fix water intrusion
MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) – Employees at a Mount Pleasant hospital are working around the effects of a water intrusion Tuesday night.
Some patients at Roper St. Francis Mount Pleasant Hospital are being moved on an ‘as needed’ basis, according to Robert Briggs, spokesperson for Roper.
“The safety of our patients and our teammates is our utmost priority,” the healthcare system said in a statement. “We are taking proactive measures to ensure the safety of all.”
Briggs could not say how many patients were affected. Authorities are still working to determine the cause and extent; however, Roper said it is the biggest priority to fix it as soon as possible.
