Attendees evacuated from Stratford vs Summerville High football game
GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (WCBD) — Fans attending the Friday night Stratford High School vs Summerville High School football game were told to evacuate, Goose Creek Police confirmed.
Officials ended the game at halftime.
Katie Tanner with Berkeley County School District said the evacuation came after initial reports of shots fired. However, no one on the scene that they have spoken to said they heard shots.
The game was hosted at Stratford High’s football field in Goose Creek.
Tonight’s game was the first of the 2024 football season for both teams. The game ended 28-14 in the second quarter with Summerville leading.
