Harris Teeter hosts New Mexico Chile Roasting event

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Locals will have the opportunity to join the outdoor fun at Harris Teeter for a multi-day chile roasting event.

Fresh New Mexico Hatch Chiles will be available at Harris Teeter stores for a limited time. To celebrate Hatch Fest, Harris Teeter will host roasting events at their Mt. Pleasant and Summerville stores.

The roastings will showcase the variety of ways to roast fresh, smoky-sweet Hatch Chiles at home, with samplings for attendees.

“In addition to the roasting events, Harris Teeter’s Hatch Fest features Hatch Chile tastings as well as fresh Hatch Chiles, infused product offerings, and prepared foods,” said Harris Teeter.

The following stores will host roasting events:

• Summerville – 680 Bacons Bridge Road (August 23-25 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.)
• Mt. Pleasant – 2035 Highway 41 ( August 30 – September 1 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.)
