Portion of Sawmill Branch Trail to close while crews replace pipe

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCBD) – A popular Summerville walking and bike trail section will close next week while stormwater crews replace a pipe.

Summerville town officials said the pipe runs from the back of the Irongate neighborhood to the Sawmill Branch. Therefore, part of the Sawmill Branch Trail behind the neighborhood will be closed during repairs to “ensure everyone’s safety.”

The closure begins Monday and is expected to last roughly two weeks.

“We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve our community’s infrastructure,” the town said.
