Charleston County Rescue Squad issues boating alert for small boats

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A Small Craft Advisory has been issued for the Charleston area, with hazardous conditions expected for small boats in Charleston Harbor.

The advisory warns of northeast winds ranging from 15 to 25 knots, with gusts up to 30 knots and waves between 1 to 2 feet.

Boaters are urged to plan accordingly and exercise caution, as conditions will be particularly dangerous for smaller vessels.

The Charleston County Rescue Squad advises everyone to prioritize safety and avoid unnecessary risks during this time.
