Sweet Tea Festival kicks off in Summerville

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCBD) – Celebrate the birthplace of sweet tea in Summerville at the annual Sweet Tea Festival this weekend!

Summerville’s Historic Downtown is transformed into a street fair, featuring various food trucks, vendors, and entertainment for attendees to enjoy.

“Of course, there is plenty of sweet tea and you can help select the Tea of the Year by sampling and voting for your favorite,” said festival officials.

The Sweet Tea Festival is scheduled for Saturday, September 21st from 2 – 7 p.m.

Guests will also have the opportunity to participate in a ‘Hold My Tea Bar Crawl’ and Sweet Tea Cocktail Contest, tasting from Summerville’s most talented bartenders.
