18-wheeler crash closes section of I-95 in Colleton County

COLLETON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – A portion of Interstate 95 that runs through Colleton County is currently shut down due to a collision.

Colleton County Fire-Rescue said I-95 at mile marker 68 is closed as multiple rescue units make their way to the scene.

Traffic cameras show traffic is backed up to mile marker 68. Several fire trucks have blocked all lanes at Exit 68 on the interstate.

The collision was between two vehicles, including an 18-wheeler. One person was trapped inside the vehicle and the 18-wheeler is blocking the roadway, according to Capt. K.C. Campbell.
