MFT: Mo’Nique Remembers Her Night Club Debut Filled With Crude Jokes For Church People

As a celebrated standup comedian, award-winning actress, loving wife with a strong support system at home — we know you’re always close by, Sidney! — and all-around successful businesswoman that never settles for less, single-named icon Mo’Nique is a true icon in the world of Hollywood.
However, it took decades of grinding back in the day to achieve the very status Mo’Nique enjoys today. Looking back at her classic standup clips though only proves that Mo was was always built for this.

Joining us on “My First Time” this week, Mo’Nique told us one hilarious story about her come-up on the comedy night club scene in the ’90s.
