Man arrested for allegedly stealing property worth over $100k

COLLETON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – In a joint effort, deputies from Charleston and Colleton counties have recovered over $100,000 in stolen property, according to the sheriff’s office.

38-year-old Anthony Lee Harris of Harleyville is accused of stealing the items from at least four law enforcement jurisdictions, the Colleton County Sheriff’s Office said in a release.

Deputies recovered the stolen items and took Harris into custody. He was taken to the Colleton County Detention Center and is held on grand larceny charges.

The stolen items include an enclosed trailer that contained a dump trailer, a Bobcat skid-steer, a sizeable flatbed utility trailer, a sawmill and a pickup truck, law enforcement stated.

Harris faces charges from three other agencies related to the theft.
