*Tentative
It all comes after the most extensive local television agreement in the College’s history was signed between the two in 2023.
Last year, the Cougars went 27-8 overall before hitting a wall against No. 4 Alabama in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
Just days after the loss, head coach Pat Kelsey announced he was vacating his position to take over the same role for the University of Louisville.
The 2024 – 2025 season will be the first with Chris Mack at the Cougar helm.
Mack made the NCAA Tournament nine times in 12 full seasons as coach at Xavier and Louisville. Mack’s time with the Cardinals ended in January 2022 when he was dismissed with the team at 6-8. Mack had been suspended the first six games of the season by Louisville, which said he violated school guidelines in his firing of one-time Cardinals assistant coach Dino Gaudio.
This season will be the first Mack has coached since his dismissal.
