Suspicious package at Parker’s Kitchen deemed non-hazardous

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) is investigating a suspicious package at the Parker’s Kitchen convenience store at the corner of Dorchester Road and US 17-A.

According to DCSO, a there was a heavy law enforcement presence in the area shorty after 5:30 p.m. Friday. A bomb squad was called to the scene to aid in the investigation.

The public is asked to avoid the area as the investigation is underway.
