Report: Suspects stole perfume bottles from Ulta Beauty, then shoved employee
MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) – A pair accused of stealing several bottles of perfume from a Mount Pleasant cosmetics store also shoved an employee while running away from the business, an incident report said.
Officers with the Mount Pleasant Police Department responded to Ulta Beauty in Towne Centre on Sunday evening for a reported shoplifting.
A store manager told the responding officers that a man and woman entered the store, took two full bags of perfume, and pushed an employee while running out the front entrance without paying.
The bottles were priced at about $100 each.
The employee who was assaulted told police that she approached the suspects after noticing them placing store merchandise in their bags. She asked the male if he needed any help, but she said the man told her to “shut up” and “go away,” according to the police report.
When the victim went to inform another employee, the male suspect began “moving quickly toward her” from behind and allegedly lowered his shoulder and pushed her into a display table while leaving.
The victim did not have any injuries. Police have not made any arrests.
