The Charleston Santa returns this Christmas

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Santa Claus is coming to town… and you’ll have a chance to meet him while also giving back this holiday season.

Explore Charleston and the Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry invite families to visit “The Charleston Santa” each weekend in December to meet Santa Claus and donate a toy for local families this Christmas season.

The visits with Santa are free; however, reservations are required because of limited space. You can secure your visit and receive a timed ticket by clicking here.

Not only does “The Charleston Santa” offer families a magical meeting with Santa, but it will also create an educational opportunity where guests can learn about the Best Friend of Charleston train and support the Toys for Tots by bringing a new unwrapped toy for local children.

More than 700 toys were donated last year and organizers hope to “fill the train” with 1,000 toys this year.

The Charleston Santa will welcome visitors from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on November 29 and 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. each weekend in December: 11/30-12/1, 12/7-8, 12/14-15, and 12/21-22.
