Firefighter injured while responding to Sheppard Street fire
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A firefighter suffered a shoulder injury Friday while responding to a downtown structure fire.
The Charleston Fire Department responded to a building on Sheppard Street shortly after 12:30 p.m. and arrived to find smoke and flames coming from a vacant structure.
Crews worked quickly to control the fire before it spread to neighboring structures.
One of the firefighters suffered a non-life-threatening injury to their shoulder during the incident and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
No other injuries were reported.
