Hanahan home ‘severely damaged’ in Friday fire
HANAHAN, S.C. (WCBD) – A Hanahan home was severely damaged during a Friday afternoon fire.
The Hanahan Fire Department and Goose Creek Rural Fire Department were notified about a structure fire on Foster Creek Road and arrived within minutes to find heavy smoke coming from the home.
“An aggressive interior attack was initiated, and the fire was contained to two rooms with the rest of the home receiving considerable smoke damage,” the Hanahan Fire Department said.
Everyone inside the home was able to escape after being alerted by their smoke alarms.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
