Goose Creek police to conduct NYE weekend traffic checkpoints

GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (WCBD) – The Goose Creek Police Department will conduct multiple traffic checkpoints over the New Year’s Eve holiday weekend.

The checkpoints are scheduled between 6 p.m. and 2 a.m. from Sunday through Tuesday.

“If you come upon one of these checkpoints, simply have your license out and ready to help speed up the process,” the agency said in its announcement. “We want to ensure that everyone is able to arrive at their destination safely and has a great New Year.”

Primary locations include:

Westview Blvd at the boat storage; Old State Rd. at Marion Ave; State Rd at Roper Hospital

Crowfield Blvd at Stratford High School; Howe Hall Rd at Howe Hall Aims School; US Hwy 176 at Cherry Hill Rd.

Crowfield Blvd at Hunter’s Lane; Liberty Hall Rd at Birch Hollow MHP; US Hwy 176 at Cobblestone Apts.

Alternate locations include: 

Montague Plantation at Trident Baptist

Old Moncks Corner at Central Creek Park

Red Bank Road at Gary Street
