10 Duets Between Musicians And Actors We’d Love To Hear
With 2025 already bringing us a handful of surprises, sadly more bad than good within the past 24 hours alone, at the very least the culture was treated to an unlikely duet performance on New Year’s Eve when R&B legend Al Green shared the stage with Hollywood icon Morgan Freeman to sing his fan-favorite soul classic, “Let’s Stay Together.”

The star-studded show happened at Freeman’s jazz bar, Ground Zero Blues Club, which he’s been owner of since 2001. With both fellas looking sharp in their own right — blazer jackets, crisp white turtlenecks and a good collared shirt! — it proved to be an unexpected-yet-perfect way to ring in the new year. Reactions ranged from those impressed with how well the Oscar winner was able to keep up with good ol’ Green to the many like us who didn’t realize how much they needed this collaboration in the first place.
Of course, we took things one step further and came up with a few more musician/actor duos we think could make good tunes together as well. Granted, not every actor we chose has the vocal chops to make a hit on the Hot 100. Our selections came purely from a wishful thinking perspective, whether they match each other’s energy, sharer a few past run-ins in the world of media or simply have a close enough name association to make the song go viral.
