Back Like She Never Left: SZA Returns To #1 On The Billboard 200 Chart With The Release Of ‘SOS Deluxe: LANA’

This week (January 2nd), Grammy award-winning, chart-topping, and multi-platinum selling recording artist SZA, returns to #1 on the Billboard 200 chart with SOS Deluxe: LANA, the expanded edition of her critically acclaimed album SOS. This is the 11th total week that the album has been #1 on this chart. It’s also #1 on the Top R&B Albums, Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Top Streaming Albums charts. SOS Deluxe: LANA features lyrics written by SZA and production by Michael Uzowuru, ThankGod4Cody, Carter Lang, Rob Bisel, Solomonophonic & Monsune, Dylan Newstarter, among others. The album includes “Saturn,” which is currently Grammy nominated for Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance, “30 for 30” (with Kendrick Lamar), “Kitchen,” “Scorsese Baby Daddy” and “Drive,” whose accompanying Bradley Calder-directed video stars Ben Stiller.
The 35-year old begins a new era with the release of SOS Deluxe: LANA, marking the culmination of another successful year and the superstar’s continued international success. In 2024 alone, SZA received the Songwriters Hall of Fame’s Hal David Starlight Award and won multiple awards at the iHeartRadio Awards, BMI Awards, Billboard Music Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, BRIT Awards, and BET Awards.
