Fire causes major damage to Sullivan’s Island restaurant

SULLIVAN’S ISLAND, S.C. (WCBD) – The Obstinate Daughter, a well-known restaurant on Sullivan’s Island caught fire overnight, prompting multiple agencies to respond.

According to Fire Chief Anthony Stith of Sullivan’s Island, crews responded to the restaurant fire at 3:05 a.m.

The fire was contained to the kitchen, but officials say major damage was sustained in the kitchen area.

There is no further information available about the cause of the fire.

The Isle of Palms and Mount Pleasant fire departments assisted with the fire.
