Where to donate winter clothes in the Lowcountry

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A cold snap spreading across the state has caused freezing rain and a wintry mix to blanket some parts of the Lowcountry.

With freezing temperatures expected to stick around, some may be looking to donate to those in need.

If you are wondering where you can donate warm winter clothes and blankets in the area, here are a few options:

East Cooper Community Outreach

1111 Bowman Road, Mount Pleasant | Monday – Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

ECCO is always accepting men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing; men’s, women’s, and children’s shoes; twin, full, queen, and king-sized sheet sets; twin, full, queen, and king-sized comforters; towels; washcloths, and hand towels.

According to their website, the most needed donations right now are seasonal women’s clothing (high need for plus sizes), Children’s clothing (boys & girls – 4T and up), new packs of underwear (adults & children) and new packs of socks (adults & children).

Neighbors Together

2105 Cosgrove Avenue, North Charleston | Monday -Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Neighbor Together is currently accepting men’s, women’s, and children’s clothes with a need for small men’s pants (28w-32w). You can also shop their Amazon wish list at this link.
