Enjoy pizza, shop flowers, pick your new denim jacket at Second Sunday
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Bundle up for the first Second Sunday of the year. It will be a chilly Sunday as people head to King Street to browse vendors and local shops.
The once-a-month event closes King Street from Queen Street to Calhoun Street for roughly five hours to allow people to stroll along the entire roadway without vehicles or parked cars while enjoying friends, family, and local businesses.
It’s a great opportunity to check out shops, restaurants, and meet artists in the Charleston community.
Organizers say Finicky Filly’s will have a selection of sweaters and denim jackets during their biggest sale of the year.
Flowers by Vanessa will be on King Street making customer wrist boutiques, or order an arrangement for delivery. Plus, you can meet Vanessa during the Sunday event. They will be located in front of Fire.Grill.
Dorie Wallace will have her children’s book, ‘Bedtime at the Zoo,’ and The Jelly Palm Jug Band will have live music in the Market Street area with other musicians.
And order a fresh, hot pizza from Damichelo Pizza in front of Christian Micci at 220 King Street. “Order your pizza, pop in to shop at one of Lower King Street’s unique galleries and boutiques, pick up your pie and enjoy,” said organizers.
Second Sunday gets underway from noon through 5:00 p.m.
