Attic fire damages Killian Street home
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A home on the peninsula was damaged by a Friday afternoon fire that started near a bathroom vent.
Charleston Fire crews responded to a Killian Street home at 4:30 p.m. and found light smoke coming from the eaves of a nearby residence.
Firefighters entered the home and discovered fire in the attic area.
They said no one was home at the time of the fire.
Investigators determined the fire originated at a bathroom vent.
“The fire damage was limited to the ceiling and attic area near the fan and some smoke damage was noted throughout the house,” fire officials said.
One resident was displaced, and no injuries were reported.
