Colleton County homicide suspect captured in Louisiana
COLLETON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – A man wanted for a Colleton County homicide was captured in Louisiana, law enforcement said Friday.
40-year-old Clint Crosby is now in custody and is awaiting extradition back to Colleton County, according to Sgt. Laura Rutland, spokesperson for the Colleton County Sheriff’s Office.
Crosby is believed to have shot and killed another man during an argument on Thursday at a home in Walterboro. When he returns, he will be booked for murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Witnesses told deputies that Crosby and the victim were in a dispute at a home on Dover Bluff Lane, which escalated to the shooting.
Colleton County Fire-Rescue transported the male victim to a nearby hospital, where he died from his wounds. His identity has not been released.
