MUSC College of Nursing celebrates new innovation hub

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A special ribbon cutting will be held Friday to celebrate the completion of a new innovation hub for the College of Nursing at MUSC.

Officials state that the new hub will feature a state-of-the-art skills lab with advanced nursing capabilities for hands-on learning. The community spaces will include a welcoming lobby, a multifunctional common area, and Student Services offices.

The new hub will feature advanced audiovisual technology that enhances both in-person and remote learning experiences. Additionally, it will have a renovated first floor aimed at addressing the expected shortage of 13,000 nurses in South Carolina by 2036, according to MUSC officials.

The College of Nursing leadership, the MUSC Board of Trustees, faculty, staff, and students will attend the ribbon-cutting on Friday at 10:30 a.m.
